AFT / IPL

If there exists an eraser for mottled skin, one that visibly shatters brown spots and dissolves red spots and lines on the face, neck, chest, back, arms, or hands, the AFT is it.*

AFT is an advanced version of intense pulsed light (IPL) technology. Every pulse of the AFT has a uniform energy density that remains at the therapeutic level, increasing predictability, and decreasing the chances for adverse effects. It is a non-invasive and non-ablative treatment which has both cosmetic and therapeutic functions.

AFT is used for photorejuvenation, targeting pigment issues, such as age spots, freckles, poikiloderma de civatte, and treating vascular lesions, such as broken capillaries and thread veins.  AFT also effectively treats medical skin issues, such as rosacea and acne.

*AFT, IPL, Photofacial treatments are not appropriate for melasma, darker skin types, or even most lighter skin types with golden undertones.

A series of 3-5 treatments, scheduled 4-6 weeks apart oftentimes is recommended.

AFT for Acne

AFT’s high intensity pulsed light can reach the source of acne causing bacteria, destroying this bacteria faster than it can proliferate. AFT pulsed light treatments for acne are quick and impressively effective.

Additionally, AFT can even discoloration, such as PIH (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation) and redness of inflamed areas of acne lesions. A more uniform appearance on skin’s surface dramatically reduces the visibility of acne and acne scars.
