Aging Hands + Arms
Few body parts reflect age like our hands and arms. Sun damaged, over-worked, fragile and skeletal, hand and arms can be resuscitated with a few treatments and products.

Visceral vs. Subq Fat
Only subcutaneous fat can be treated with fat reduction devices or liposuction. Subcutaneous (subq) fat is the fat layer between skin and muscle. These fat pads can be reached and destroyed by fat reducing procedures. Visceral fat is located in the abdominal cavity, surrounding and smothering internal organs such as the liver, pancreas, intestines, etc. Devices cannot reach or affect visceral fat, and liposurgery is an impossibility, as fat cannot be suctioned from around organs. FYI: About 50% of us have a propensity for visceral fat storage, and the other 50% has subcutaneous tendencies. Fat storage is mostly…

Under Eye Shadows
Dark shadows under eyes are a big drag. They make us look tired, vitamin deficient, negligent in the self care department. Under eye circles are further accentuated when wearing masks because eyes become basically the sole focus. (Can’t help thinking of lemurs, meerkats, pandas, raccoons, Uncle Fester.) What WE can do to lighten dark circles: 1. When cells are able to quickly shed from the surface (desquamation), fresh, healthy skin cells are quickly revealed. With rapid cell turnover, skin heals quickly, absorbs topically applied products quickly and evenly, appears vibrant, smooth,…

Jowlbella + other off-label uses for KYBELLA
Jowlbella – Kybella used “off-label” to shrink jowls and sharpen the jawline. (One of the only good things about these mask-wearing days may be that the mask can hide post-Kybella swelling or bruising.) Why we love Kybella: Kybella is a cosmetic injectable used to destroy fat cells wherever it is injected. Kybella destroys the outer membrane of fat cells. The dissolved fat then works its way through the lymphatic system and ultimately is excreted as waste. There is downtime with the initial swelling of Kybella treatments. For some, swelling is significant and can last for a few weeks. (Btw –…
